HPUS Update Notifications

After a thorough review of the historic subscriptions to the HPUS during the last several years, the HPCUS Board has approved three changes that will take effect on August 15, 2021.

• The 1-day and 30-day subscription access periods will be retired. These represent a very minor percentage of subscriptions; of this small number, some have been for educational purposes which will be better addressed by the next change.
• For those needing access to the pharmacopeia strictly for educational or non-commercial research purposes, the Board has approved a new subscription type: 3-Day Access Educational / Research.  Those who wish to make use of this access should first send an email to [email protected] describing the research or educational project and the type of information that is needed; if approved, the administrative team will provide the researcher / educator with a “promo code” that will entirely cover the listed access price, thus allowing 3 days of research at no cost.  As the administrative team are volunteers, please allow up to 3 days for a review and response to the request.
• The cost for a 1-year access will increase to $2000. This better reflects the costs of maintaining and updating the HPUS contents in relation to the value the pharmacopeia provides to the commercial users of this officially recognized reference text.

There is no change in the corporate / multi-user subscription access cost.

As noted above, these changes will be implemented on August 15, 2021
