Guideline Document Updates

Twelve sections of the HPUS Homeopathic Good Manufacturing Practices Guidelines have been updated with supplemental text. The affected sections are §1.5, 3.7, 3.8.4, 3.8.5, 6.5.3, 6.5.4, 6.6.2, 6.6.3, 6.6.4, 7.7.1, 8.7.2, 9.6.2).  Due to the additions, the subsection numbering has also been updated accordingly.

Four sections of the HPUS Guidelines for Manufacturing Homeopathic Medicines have been updated with supplemental text.  The affected sections are §1.5, 1.6, 2.2 and 40.3).  Due to the additions, the subsection numbering has also been updated accordingly.

Change in Lowest Permissible Attenuation

The Lowest Permissible Attenuation has been changed for two monographs due to the potential presence of constituents of concern. The monographs are:

Chloroformum

Zincum Gluconicum (This monograph permits two OTC Lowest Permissible Attenuations depending on the age of intended users; More information is in the “Monograph Notes” and the “Labeling Notes” sections of the monograph.)
